Journalist, Pontificia Universidad Católica de Chile. Master’s degree in Comparative Literature at the Universidad Adolfo Ibañez and writer. Experience in written media. Karen published her first novel in 2015. She has worked in community projects such as Reshet, Karen Hayesod and Aish Hatorah Chile. In 2009, she created Memoria Viva and is presently dedicated to management and fundraising.

She holds a postgraduate degree in “Holocaust, Genocide and Human Rights” at the Center of Judaic Studies, Faculty of Philosophy at the Universidad de Chile. She has worked in cultural management and has curatorial experience. Alejandra has collaborated with our foundation since the beginning and at present leads the development and follows up educational projects oriented towards the diffusion of our work.

With experience being an educational coordinator of Majon LeMadrijim for the Latin American Jewish Agency of Israel. Guide in Poland for the March of the Living, Journey from the Circulo Israelita de Santiago and the Instituto Hebreo Doctor Chaim Weizmann de Chile where she works as the coordinator for the Jewish Memory department.

Teaching experience as assistant professor of “History of Europe in the 20th century” and “Contemporary World History”. She works at Memoria Viva in the areas of communications and social media.

Active member and leader of several community projects. Currently manager of Abro Memoria, joint work of Memoria Viva and Archivo Judío de Chile.
